I've been told that I have been particularly patient in certain situations, so I thought that I was a fairly patient person. Now I'm realizing that I have not been very patient at all.
There is a difference between being patient and being good at waiting.
I am good at waiting. This involves a variety of strategies, such as distracting yourself with other things.
How can patience be defined? "Love is patient" (1 Corinthians 13:4). Does patience need love? Looking at Galatians 5:22-23, I'm convicted that waiting is not being patient, if I'm not loving, not joyful, and don't have peace.
(Patience probably requires all of: love & joy & peace & kindness & goodness & faithfulness & gentleness & self control)
