I was reading someone's blog about why some people write. People long to be understood. I say sometimes a soul is screaming.
But no one can hear. Only in their mind's ear do you perceive the sound of their silent reading.
Is it enough? Beyond just reading a poem out loud - because it sounds better when there is an actual sound - does it make a difference? I'm cynical. Occasionally someone has given me a compliment for being insightful. I don't take the complement. I'm not trying to be humble; I don't believe them. Writings that are read out loud are talked about. Most of these people are silent.
Prove me wrong.
